George Khalaf - President

George Khalaf - President of Data Orbital

George serves as President of Data Orbital where he leverages his data expertise, political instincts and strategic relationships for clients and causes throughout Arizona and a growing number of states. He is passionate about the role of intentional data in advancing causes, policies and individuals that create thriving communities by advancing conservative causes.

With a strong grassroots and data background, George has worked on local, state and national efforts.  His experience includes serving as an Associate at DC London, Deputy Chief of Staff for Maricopa County Supervisor Denny Barney and Political Director and 2014 State Victory Director with the Arizona Republican Party.  After founding Data Orbital, the firm experienced a successful 2016 cycle under George's leadership with their track polling in the Presidential and US Senate coming within less than 1% of the final outcome.

George graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelors in Political Science. Born in Beirut, Lebanon, George currently lives in Phoenix, AZ.  When he is not tracking local and national political developments and advising clients, George enjoys serving on his Church’s Parish Council and traveling with his family.


Youssef Khalaf - COO/CFO

Youssef Khalaf - CFO of Data Orbital

Youssef Khalaf is the COO and CFO for Data Orbital. Born in Beirut, Lebanon, he attended Saint Joseph University and earned a Master's degree in electrical engineering. After moving to the United States at the age of 33, he earned his MBA through the University of Phoenix.

He brings twenty-five years of experience in operations and retail management and several years in finance. His background also includes work on several substantial software development projects.

Youssef's life is motivated by a desire to do the right thing and make a difference in the world. From his years in Lebanon until now, his life has been marked by sacrifice and dedication for the causes he holds dear. He has been happily married for almost 30 years, is a proud father to three and a grandfather to two. He recently achieved a dream of many years when he purchased his first corvette! Someday, he plans to retire, and travel the world.


Joanna Duka - Director of Research & Marketing

Joanna Duka is Director of Research and Marketing at Data Orbital.  She was born in Santa Clara, California, but has lived in Arizona since 2002 and considers Phoenix her home.  She has a background in marketing and administration, working both in the private sector and for a pro-life nonprofit.  Joanna is passionate about public policy, specifically as it relates to life and family.  Having the opportunity to advance Data Orbital's clients through solid research and messaging is a privilege for her.  In the future, she plans to continue working in the area of family policy.  In her spare time, she is a calligrapher and small-business owner, loves to read and is very involved in her church.  


Laurence Oele - Client Success Manager

Laurence Oele is a Client Success Manager and loves seeing the role data plays day-to-day in electing candidates and advancing causes. A native of the Netherlands, he was born and raised in Voorburg and attended Segbroek College. In 2013, he moved to the United States where he earned his associate's degree at Scottsdale Community College and went on to earn a bachelors in Political Science with an emphasis in Criminal Justice at Arizona Christian University. In the future, he sees himself combining his expertise in data with his passion for criminal justice work. He enjoys life in the US and hopes to make it his permanent home. Laurence played baseball throughout high school and college, traveling to more than 7 countries to compete. He still loves the sport and plans to have his own travel summer team in the future.

 

Jack Peterman - Data & Marketing Analyst

Jack Peterman is a Data and Marketing Analyst for Data Orbital. Born in Houston, Texas, he studied Economics at Vanderbilt University and worked for a series of global law firms such as Andrews & Kurth and Baker Botts while not in school. His first job in politics was for former U.S. Secretary of State and White House Chief of Staff James A. Baker III, whom he holds in very high regard. Jack also worked as a Legislative Assistant for Axiom Public Affairs and as a Field Research Analyst for America Rising LLC before moving to Data Orbital. In the future, Jack plans on attending law school and is also interested in philosophy, psychology, and neuroscience.
